Nice 4-day car trip from Vancouver, BC east along the border on winding highway 3 to Nelson, Kaslo and the beautiful Lake Kootenai region. Took a circular route coming back...
Good to get away from the city for the first time in nearly 1 year.

Wow! I'd forgotten about these awesome 'cumulus mammatus' clouds which I rolled under on Sept. 15, 2006, a bit south of the Wyoming/Colorado border on I-25. Lots of wind, but only a brief spray of rain...... still, I like this wild high plains country......

A nice hike up to Chief Mountain October, 2005 with my friend, Holger. The thunder was getting louder and louder and lightning zapped. We were sitting ducks standing on the 11,700 foot summit.

My nephews and nieces were visiting, and we drove up to 13,200 feet to Summit Lake. It was mid-September, and a bit of snow had fallen the day before. Beautiful it was !!!!
